What it is
WorshipHub Remote runs entirely in a browser — there is nothing to install on the phone. Whoever is running the service opens the page, scans the QR code shown on the WorshipHub desktop, and gets full control: slides, black screen, logo, the running order, the song and Bible library, and media uploads.
It is the same control the desktop operator has, which means the person at the sound desk and the person on stage can both drive the service without one shouting at the other.
Opening the app
There is no installation. Open control.worshiphub.live in any modern browser on the device you want to use. Add it to your home screen if you want it to open like an app.
Connecting it to WorshipHub
- 1On the WorshipHub desktop, open Tools ▸ Enable Remote Control.
- 2Go to Settings ▸ Remote Access. A QR code and a PIN appear there.
- 3On the phone, open control.worshiphub.live and scan that QR code with the in-page scanner.
- 4Type the PIN once. The device receives a token and stays trusted — you will not be asked again, even after the desktop restarts or its IP address changes.
Both devices need to be on the same Wi-Fi. If they are not — a phone on mobile data, or a second building — turn on a Secure Tunnel in the desktop settings and scan the tunnel QR instead.
If something goes wrong
The scanner opens but never reads the code
Camera access needs a secure connection. control.worshiphub.live is served over HTTPS, so this normally works — if it does not, check that the browser has camera permission for the site, and that the QR is fully inside the frame and in focus.
It says "Trust this device" and will not connect
The desktop uses a self-signed certificate — there is no way to get a real one for a private IP address on a church network. Tap Trust, accept the browser's warning in the tab that opens, then come back and retry. You only do this once per phone.
It connected before, but today it cannot find the desktop
The desktop's address is never cached on purpose, because it changes — a new IP from the router, or a different tunnel URL. Scan the QR again; it takes a couple of seconds.
The remote is not accepting the PIN
The PIN rotates when Remote Control is toggled off and on. Re-check the current PIN under Settings ▸ Remote Access on the desktop.
